RotoMax Rotometer System
Features
OverviewThe RotoMax Rotometer System is designed to measure and monitor rotational behavior of animals (rat, mouse, or other small lab animal species) during experimentation. Consists of a RotoMax analyzer, a circular RotoMax test chamber, a sensor which houses the start/stop switch, an animal harness and a Pc compatible computer. User may supply pc, as long as it meets minimum system requirements. The RotoMax system can collect data from a total of eight independent test chambers. Each RotoMax analyzer can monitor up to a maximum of eight test chambers, and the software is designed to work with up to two RotoMax analyzers at one time. The software for this system is fully Windows compatible and uses the most common Window's controls for a friendlier environment. For each experiment conducted, the experiment parameters are dynamically entered, to provide the user with a flexible data collection system.
Starting and Stopping ExperimentsEach RotoMax sensor is equipped with a start/stop switch. This switch is provided to conveniently begin an experiment, as well as pause an experiment during data collection.
Hardware and Software featuresThe data generated by the system is saved in a tab-delimited format that can easily be imported into common statistical packages for further analysis. The RotoMax software disk includes setup wizard, which simplifies installation of the RotoMax software. Stores rotational data for clockwise, counter clockwise and net turns for each animal in user specified file on floppy or hard disk. Recalls stored data for further analysis. User selectable rotation angle (45, 90, 135, 180, 270, 360 degrees). This feature acts as hysteresis permitting small rotation angles to be ignored.
Retired Product ReplacementThis product has been replaced by Circling Behavior - Rotometer Activity.
