Can Be Combined With

Overview

The EZVideoDV automated tracking system is a turnkey DV video Tracking, Recording, and Analysis system. EZVideoDV is fully compatible with Windows XP and Vista. Included with the system is a Dell PC, an LCD monitor, a Firewire DV camcorder, wide-angle lens attachment, an infrared illuminator for total darkness experiments using night-shot mode, and the complete EZVideoDV software suite. Using the included equipment and software applications, it is possible to setup, run and re-analyze a nearly limitless range of experiments for single animal behavioral research.

EZVideo Mapper

The key to the EZVideoDV system is the ability to use zones. The EZMapper application is used to create, move and adjust zones, as well as set tracking distance calibration and end zone times. Each zone map represents a particular arena. Arenas can be mazes, open fields of any shape, or any other animal containment.

EZPlot and EZPlay

The EZVideoDV suite comes with a host of features designed for playback and reanalysis of archived experiments. The EZPlot application can be used to plot the location of animal over the course of an experiment and overlay it with zone map. The EZPlay application can playback the raw video of an experiment. It has standard transport controls (play, pause, step, fast-forward, etc) as well as a seek bar to find a particular moment in the experiment.
