Open Field - Locomotor Activity The Open Field system allows quantitative analysis of locomotor behavior. Suited for studying patterns of behavior of rats or mice in an open field environment.

Fusion is the process of merging separate elements into a single cohesive whole.

Accuscan has merged a large number of behavioral tests into a single software application called Fusion. With the acquisition of this one program (Fusion), research scientists have a complete set of behavior tests at their command.

The Fusion Software is accompanied by the Fusion Node which acts as the intermediary between the PC and the sensors used to monitor the test animals. Each Fusion Node can supply power to and collect data from 24 devices. All 24 ports on the Node can be used for a single device type (e.g. photo beam locomotor) or multiple device types (photo beam, O2/CO2, Food/Liquid, Wheel, etc).
